Choosing an SNA inverter

Compare SNA 3K, 4K, 5K and 6K for home or small-business backup in Nigeria. Start with the appliances running together, then check motor starting demand, battery power and the solar array.

All four models use a nominal 48V battery system and two MPPT inputs. Maximum PV input is the array allowance, not the AC power available to appliances.

List lighting, fans, internet equipment and refrigeration. Add their simultaneous running power and allow for compressor starts before selecting the inverter.

Shops and home offices

Separate equipment that must stay on from loads that can wait. A pump, air conditioner or workshop motor needs its own starting-power assessment.

A compatible battery connects to the inverter for stored energy. Grid and generator connections provide additional supply options according to the approved wiring and operating mode. This is a functional overview, not a wiring diagram.

When using a generator

Check the generator's voltage, frequency, available power and any start-control interface. Automatic starting requires a compatible generator and correct control wiring and settings; it is not available simply by connecting any generator.

After commissioning

Choosing battery storage for SNA

PGEM 5.12kWh and PGEM PRO 14.3kWh appear in our SNA installation records. These examples are useful starting points; the exact inverter, battery revision, BMS communication and current limits still need to match.

More battery capacity can extend backup at the same load, but a larger kWh figure does not automatically increase output power. Battery-only performance is limited by the battery, inverter, settings and installation.

For runtime planning, use usable battery energy divided by average load, allowing for reserve settings and conversion losses. Prepare an appliance schedule rather than assuming a fixed number of hours from the inverter rating.

Installing more batteries or parallel inverters also requires an approved design for communication, cabling and protection. Expansion is a system decision, not just a module count.
