Move to Li-15e only after checking the system voltage
Li-15e is a 15kWh-class LiFePO4 battery with 51.2V nominal voltage and 300Ah capacity. The manufacturer lists 15kWh rated energy. It is intended for a compatible 48V-class inverter system and suits a system review where additional home solar storage or a battery replacement is being considered.
Li-7.5e is a different, 25.6V model for a compatible 24V-class system. Moving from that battery to Li-15e is not simply a capacity upgrade: the inverter voltage and approved system configuration must change or already match.
Review the existing inverter before replacing batteries
Send the complete inverter model and current battery labels before ordering a replacement. Check the supported voltage range, CAN/RS485 BMS protocol, firmware and charge settings. Existing lead-acid settings must not be assumed suitable for lithium storage.
Li-15e lists 140A maximum continuous charge/discharge current. The quotation should explain whether one module supports the intended load or whether a different bank arrangement is needed. Runtime remains dependent on average load, usable energy, reserve settings and inverter losses.
Check support and access for the Li-15e installation
The unit weighs 104.9kg and is IP20 for indoor installation. The datasheet lists a wall-mount bracket as included, but the support structure, fixings, handling method and service clearances must be checked against the manual before choosing a mounting position.
Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provide supported configuration and monitoring functions. They do not replace the inverter’s required battery communication connection. Confirm which communication hardware and commissioning work are included in the installation.
For bank expansion, check matching battery revisions and communication equipment. The datasheet lists up to 50 units without an extra device or 256 with a hub; do not mix Li-e voltage variants in one bank. Browse residential lithium batteries if the existing inverter needs a different storage option.

When requesting a price, specify whether the quotation should also cover battery cables, protection devices, commissioning and any changes to the existing inverter settings.

Frequently asked questions
Can Li-15e replace Li-7.5e on my existing inverter?
Not as a direct capacity-only swap. Li-15e is 51.2V, while Li-7.5e is 25.6V. The inverter voltage and approved battery configuration must match the chosen model.
What should be checked when replacing lead-acid batteries?
Check inverter support for the lithium battery, BMS communication, firmware, charge settings and cable/protection ratings. Do not retain lead-acid settings without a model-specific review.
Does Wi-Fi or Bluetooth replace the BMS cable?
No. Monitoring or configuration functions do not replace the supported CAN/RS485 connection required by the inverter and battery system.
Is the included bracket enough to confirm a wall installation?
No. At 104.9kg, the battery requires an assessment of the supporting structure, fixings, handling access and manual-specified clearances before installation.
Plan your Li-15e system
For a replacement quote, send inverter and battery label photos, current battery quantity, essential loads and available mounting space. Specify whether battery cables, protection and commissioning are required.
