Choose SNA2 for both daytime and night-time loads
SNA2-EU-LT 10–14K is a single-phase solar inverter range for higher-load homes and small businesses in Nigeria. The 10K, 12K and 14K versions should be selected against the circuits running together and the power available from the solar array and battery bank.
The 14K model’s 14kW output is specified with PV and battery together. Its maximum battery charge/discharge power is 13kW. If the main requirement is a heavy night-time load, review the battery-only operating limits before selecting the 14K from its name.
Compare 10K, 12K and 14K on the battery side
The model-specific maximum battery charge/discharge powers are 11kW, 12kW and 13kW, with maximum currents of 230A, 250A and 270A respectively. Actual AC supply is also bounded by each inverter’s output and operating conditions. A large energy rating on one battery does not prove that it can support these currents.
Use separate daytime and night-time load lists. Daytime PV can contribute to the specified PV-plus-battery operation; after sunset, storage must supply the demand within the battery-side limits. Motor starting requirements and reserve settings also need to be included in the design.
Plan the solar array, GEN connection and indoor location
The 10K accepts up to 18kW PV input; 12K and 14K accept up to 24kW. Two MPPTs allow separate strings, with voltage and current checked against the exact model. The PV allowance is an input limit, not the inverter’s AC output.
The dedicated GEN port supports configured functions such as generator start-stop or smart-load management. Provide the existing generator and grid-tied equipment details so the installer can review the connection and supply priorities.
SNA2-EU-LT is IP20, weighs 32.5kg and specifies operation at 0–45°C. Provide a dry indoor location and review ventilation, mounting, high-current cabling and distribution-board protection before replacing a smaller inverter.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose 14K mainly for night-time loads?
Review the battery-only limits first. The datasheet specifies 14kW with PV plus battery and a maximum battery charge/discharge power of 13kW for the 14K model.
How do the three models differ on battery current?
The 10K, 12K and 14K list maximum battery charge/discharge currents of 230A, 250A and 270A respectively. The bank, wiring and protection must support the proposed current.
Why is battery capacity alone insufficient for an SNA2 system?
Capacity determines stored energy, while current capability limits available battery power. Both must match the inverter, BMS communication and simultaneous load.
What changes should be checked when replacing a smaller inverter?
Review high-current battery cables, protection, distribution-board circuits, mounting, ventilation and the existing solar and generator connections before commissioning.
